Drop by and celebrate the mixed media art creations made by participants of our 8-week workshop, Creative Aging Drawing, Painting and Mixed Media, highlighting their skills and fostering a sense of community among artists and spectators. Provided in partnership with the Advancing Creative Aging Through State Library Leadership Initiative.

Advancing Creative Aging Through State Library Leadership Initiative is a joint initiative of Califa Group, Wyoming State Library, Missouri State Library and Lifetime Arts. It was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant.

About the branch

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
